The new subscription Territory of Arts
The Mikhailovsky Theatre continues its cooperation with the Russian Museum and presents the subscription Territory of Arts for the next season.


       There are two cycles in the subscription: Heroes and Villains in Russian Art and Stage Design and Designers. The subscription includes lectures, excursions and performances.

The first cycle is dedicated to the greatest politicians and key figures in Russian art, who inspired Russian painters in the 13-20th centuries. The opera Prince Igor by Alexander Borodin will be an amazing addition to the lecture and the exhibition in the Russian Museum will give a possibility to compare the operatic character to its painted image.

The second cycle is dedicated to the history of stage design from ancient times till nowadays. The cycle includes two lectures on the art of European and Russian stage design and two performances — the opera Rusalka and the ballet Swan Lake.
