Life in the theatre never stops, not even for a minute, and while the performance the audience sees might be the most important thing, it is only a small part of what goes on. Many theatregoers dream of having the opportunity of going backstage, taking a peek into the rehearsal halls, props and costume workshops, and seeing the performers in the make-up room. Our Internet diary will help make this dream a reality by providing ongoing coverage of the inner workings of the theatre.



A theatre is often compared to a kitchen. Here, as in a great chef’s kitchen, there should always be something tasty baking in the oven. Our blog will provide recipes for ‘theatrical delicacies’, revealing the secrets of upcoming premieres.

The first entries in the Internet diary will be devoted to the ballet Sleeping Beauty, which premieres just before New Year. Nacho Duato will open the doors of his creative laboratory, share his ideas and talk about how he envisages the new ballet. Set designer Angelina Atlagic will collaborate closely with the choreographer, bringing the fairy-tale imagery of children’s dreams to the stage. It will be especially interesting to hear from Nikita Dolgushin; what does this renowned expert on ballet history, who has enjoyed success with recreating old productions, expect from the premiere?
