Premiere of the ballet by Slava Samodurov
The summer ballet premiere at the Mikhailovsky Theatre reveals a new choreographer to Russian audience. Slava Samodurov is a renowned dancer who has been working as a choreographer and has created a number of ballet pieces of great promise.

The brilliant career of Slava Samodurov started at the Mariinsky Theatre where he was a Principal Dancer from 1994. The St Petersburg public loved his hot-tempered and impetuous style. In 2000, Slava moved to Amsterdam to join the Dutch National Ballet as a Principal Dancer, in 2003 he joined The Royal Ballet as a Principal Dancer. The choreographic pieces staged by Samodurov in Moscow and London attracted much attention of the ballet society. In early July 2010 he presented his new ballet Trip Trac to great critical acclaim. The British critics felt ‘watching a major choreographer emerge.’
