| The brilliant career of Slava Samodurov started at the Mariinsky Theatre where he was a Principal Dancer from 1994. The St Petersburg public loved his hot-tempered and impetuous style. In 2000, Slava moved to Amsterdam to join the Dutch National Ballet as a Principal Dancer, in 2003 he joined The Royal Ballet as a Principal Dancer. The choreographic pieces staged by Samodurov in Moscow and London attracted much attention of the ballet society. In early July 2010 he presented his new ballet Trip Trac to great critical acclaim. The British critics felt ‘watching a major choreographer emerge.’
Rehearsal photos In A Minor Key is a one-act ballet set to music by Domenico Scarlatti. The first major Samodurov’s work in Russia is created for the Mikhailovsky Ballet Company. The World Premiere of the ballet will take place on July, 7 in the Triple Bill closing the ballet season. |
