The Mikhailovsky Theatre presents a new production of a lyrical opera by Leoš Janáček, the renowned Czech composer of the 20th century.

Hockey, ballet and a tiger
On 27 November 2010 the ballet Spartacus was attended by the team of SKA Ice Hockey Club. Before the performance a press conference was held starring Alexander Medvedev, President of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and SKA Ice Hockey Club, a forward of SKA Alexey Yashin, General Director of the Mikhailovsky Theatre Vladimir Kekhman and a soloist of the Mikhailovsky Ballet Vera Arbuzova.

‘Let’s help the tiger’ concert
The first International Tiger Summit concluded on 23 November 2010 with a charitable concert Let’s help the tiger at the Mikhailovsky Theatre. The decisions reached during the Forum were visualized at the concert.

The Laureates of the Mikhailovsky Grand Prix 2010
On 20 November 2010 the Mikhailovsky Grand Prix awards ceremony took place. At the opening of the ceremony, the Plenipotentiary Representative of President of Russia in the North-West region, The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mikhailovsky Theatre Ilya Klebanov read out a telegram from Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin addressed to the organisers and participants of the Grand Prix.

Charity Concert Let’s Help the Tiger
On 23 November the St Petersburg International Tiger Summit will culminate at the Mikhailovsky Theatre with a concert, Let’s Help the Tiger! organised in cooperation with Russian rock musician Ilya Lagutenko, the lead singer of Mumy Troll.

The Mikhailovsky Theatre productions have been nominated for the Golden Mask awards
On 12 November 2010 the nominees for the prestigious Golden Mask National Theatre Awards’2009-2010 were announced. Three productions of the Mikhailovsky Theatre opera La Juive and ballets Swan Lake and In a Minor Key — are among the nominees.

The Days of Perm Culture Started at the Mikhailovsky Theatre
On 9 November 2010 the Days of Perm in St Petersburg officially started at the Mikhailovsky Theatre. The project includes a series of music, theatre and artistic events.
