L’elisir d’amore was premièred at the Mikhailovsky in May 2008. The production is notable for its pure Italian atmosphere. The funny plot, delightful melodies, well-set stage design secure popularity with the public. The production is also highly recommended for family viewing. In the performance on 16 April the audience will see the mastery of the representatives of different vocal and acting schools. The soloist of the Mikhailovsky Opera Natalia Mironova will showcase her marvelous soprano in the role of beautiful Adina. The Italian Pietro Spagnoli will appear as Dr Dulcamara. Prize-winner of the international singing contests, who started his career at the Moscow Novaya Opera Theatre, Sergey Romanovsky will perform the role of Nemorino. Romanovsky is a welcomed guest at the European opera theatres. In the matinée performance on 17 April the soloists of the Mikhailovsky Theatre will star in the main roles: Svetlana Monchak as Adina, Dmitry Karpov as Nemorino, Yury Monchak as Dulcamara. |
