Photo exhibition of Kommersant Newspaper
On June, 18 an exhibition of the photos which have appeared on the front page of the Russian newspaper Kommersant started at the Mikhailovsky Theatre. The enormous archive of the newspaper includes about five million photos featuring key figures and events of the post-perestoika epoch.


       The best photos of the ‘heroes of our time’ without masks and make-up are to be exhibited at the Mikhailovsky.

Kommersant first exhibited the photos from the front pages in 2001 in Bagration Bridge in Moscow. In 2002, they were displayed in St Petersburg in the Museum of City’s History. Later Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Voronezh, Kiev, and Krasnoyarsk saw the exhibition.

Kommersant is marking its 20th anniversary of its new history and the centenary of its foundation and opening its photo archives again. Photo evidences of the new Russia will be shown at the Mikhailovsky Theatre during the time of the St Petersburg International Economic Crisis.
