She was awarded with the prize for the role of Medora in the ballet Le Corsaire produced by Farukh Ruzimatov.

Irina Perren graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in 1998 and joined the Mikhailovsky Ballet. Her repertoire includes the roles of Odette/Odile (Swan Lake), Princess Aurora and Lilac Fairy (The Sleeping Beauty), Medora (Le Corsaire), Nikiya (La Bayadére), Raymonda (Raymonda), Giselle (Giselle, ou Les Wilis), Kitry (Don Quixote) among many others.
