On November, 2 the Mikhailovsky Theatre is hosting the award ceremony of the Highest Theatre Premium of St Petersburg Golden Sofit.
Among the guests expected are singer Anna Netrebko, artistic director of the Mariinsky Theatre Valery Gergiev, ballet dancer Leonid Sarafanov, actor Sergey Migitsko, artist Emil Kapelyush. The ceremony is to be staged by Yury Alexandrov, artistic director of St Petersburg Opera Theatre.
This year the Mikhailovsky Theatre is nominated twice in the category The Best Female Ballet Dancer.
Principal dancer of the Mikhailovsky Ballet Irina Perren is nominated for the performance of the main part in the ballet Le Corsaire, produced by Farukh Ruzimatov. Sabina Yapparova is nominated for the performance of the main part in the ballet Romeo and Juliet, produced by Oleg Vinogradov
