Charity performance of the Give a life foundation
The annual charity concert of the Give a life foundation will take place on May, 29 at the Mikhailovsky Theatre.


     The foundation activity is widely supported by thousands of kind and indifferent people; it cooperates with many companies, Sberbank being one of them. Last year the foundation gathered nearly 100 million rubles which are spent on the expensive medicine for children. Mainly thanks to these foundation efforts the problem of the help to the children suffering from cancer and blood diseases has started to be solved systematically.

On its anniversary (5 years from the first performance at the Sovremennik Theatre) the foundation together with the Mikhailovsky Theatre has produced a unique musical The Little Prince. The most famous artists – Marina Neyelova, Sergey Garmash, Oleg Basilashvili, Leonid Yermolnik, Liya Akhedzakova – will recite some fragments from the famous fairy-tale The Little Prince. The renowned rock musicians – Yury Shevchuk, Andrey Makarevich, Diana Arbenina, Garic Sukhachev to name a few. The groups Chaif, Neschastny Sluchay, Mumiy Troll will perform the songs written especially created for the production. Children cared by the foundation will be the rightful participants of the concert. Together with the artists they have recorded the songs on CD (every guest will get the disc as a present); those who will be allowed by the doctors to leave hospitals will appear at the Mikhailovsky Theatre on May, 29.

The performance is included in the official program of the celebration of the holiday The Day of St Petersburg. The performance will be transmitted on the big screen in Arts Square. The money gathered at the Mikhailovsky Theatre will be used by the Give a life foundation to cure the sick children.
