Recognised as a true opera star in the making from a very young age, the lush-haired beauty possesses a captivating lyrical coloratura soprano. Anna passed the competitive auditions of the Bolshoi Theatre while still a first-year student of the Gnesin Academy of Music. She has taken part in all the Bolshoi Theatre’s major opera premieres, from Die Zauberflöte and Rosenthal’s Children to Die Fledermaus. Anna Aglatova has sung at the Mikhailovsky Theatre before, but only in concert performances. Giuseppe Verdi’s most popular work, based on the play by Alexandre Dumas fils, has been chosen for her operatic debut. Dmitry Golovnin and Dmitry Darov will join Anna Aglatova on stage, appearing as Alfredo and Giorgio Germont respectively.
