Theatre for Children


The Mikhailovsky Theatre annually organizes a number of projects for kids. Any support will play an important role for us.

The Mikhailovsky Theatre devotes particular attention to young theatregoers. New series of performances for children are introduced every season, including Backstage Story, A Child’s Alphabet and Matinees at the Mikhailovsky Theatre. Each month there are productions especially for young audiences, such as Cipollino, Cinderella and The Nutcracker.

This season the Mikhailovsky Theatre is preparing a new project for children — a Child’s Book of the Theatre, which will take its readers all around the theatrical world, particularly to the Mikhailovsky Theatre, giving them the opportunity to look not only at the auditorium, but also behind the scenes.

A visit to the theatre is an important event in any child’s life, and we will be grateful to all those who wish to help both in the organisation of new interesting projects for children and in the support of the existing ones.
