The oratorio «Stabat mater» (1877) by Czech composer Antonin Dvorak will be presented. It is telling about the sufferings of the mother. This was written after the death of Dvorak’s little daughter and became the first religious work of the composer. The majestic and mournful music of «Stabat mater» brought Dvorak his first significant success and fame.
