Ballet Through the Eyes of Beowulf Sheehan


The famous American photographer Beowulf Sheehan, with support from the Dmitry Likhachev Foundation, came to St. Petersburg in May 2011 to work on the St. Petersburg Through Ballet project. The renowned portraitist held a ten-day photo shoot of the stars of the Mikhailovsky Theatre ballet troupe. During his time here, Beowulf was also invited to a rehearsal held by Nacho Duato. The photographer made an impression on the other artists during the great Spaniard's choreographic work and held a special photo shoot. Some of the resulting photos were used in a commercial project for the Mikhailovsky Theatre.
